What is User Targeting?

Subscribers to one of our Pro Plans are able to use User Targeting in order to maximise the potential success of their repost campaigns when using custom campaign settings:

Campaign Targeting enables you to target a more specific audience, or restrict certain members from reposting your campaign.

  • With max. credit cost per repost enabled, you can prevent credits being swallowed up on reposts by larger accounts (which take more credits from your campaign). This can be helpful for campaigns with a lower budget, and can ensure a more even spread of exposure across a wider audience.

  • With the limit max. number of reposts options enabled, you will only allow those to repost who have made less than x reposts in a given 24 hour period and/or their daily average number of reposts respectively.

  • When enabled, the genre setting ensures reposters indicate a preference for the genre of the track on their own profiles, or alternatively, at least one of your preferred genres. This means that your track will only be shared with listeners who are more likely to show an interest in your style of music.

Please remember that while using Campaign Targeting will help to increase accuracy in regard to the most appropriate reposters, it will also reduce the pool of eligible reposters. Using extreme settings might lead to little or no engagement on your campaign.
