There are six Repost Exchange charts, grouped by genres:

  • Hip-Hop / Urban Chart - Hip-hop & Rap, Trap, R&B & Soul, Dancehall

  • Dance / EDM Chart - Dance & EDM, House, Deep House, Dubstep

  • Underground Chart - Disco, Drum & Bass, Electronic, Techno, Trance

  • Pop / Rock Chart - Alternative Rock, Country, Folk & Singer-Songwriter, Indie, Metal, Pop, Rock

  • Best of the Rest Chart - Ambient, Classical, Jazz & Blues, Latin, Piano, Reggae, Reggaeton, Soundtrack, Triphop, World

  • Re-Ex Top 40 Chart - Everything! These are the 40 top-rated tracks currently on RepostExchange

How are the charts calculated?

Whether a track reaches the charts, and its position, is determined by its average rating, the number of ratings it has received (and a few other metrics we use to prevent manipulation). Please note that SoundCloud stats are not relevant in regard to the RepostExchange charts.

In order to keep the charts fresh, we look at ratings from the last 7 days. Charts are usually updated daily.

Why reach the charts?

The Re-Ex Charts are where we find the majority of the music we use in the Re-Ex Podcast and artists we choose to feature on our blog. We also repost selected chart tracks on our own SoundCloud page and feature some on our social media accounts.

Please do not label a track with a genre which it is clearly not - if we feel a track has been mislabelled and therefore does not fit in a given chart, it will be assigned a more appropriate genre at our discretion.
